Ann Catherine Riedstra

Ann Catherine Riedstra, 80, of Rolling Prairie, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2020 at Franciscan Health, Michigan City, surrounded by family.

Ann was born on August 7, 1939 in Chicago, IL, to Bernard and Jennie (DeVries) Lenters.

On February 25, 1956 in Oaklawn, IL, she married James Ronald who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her children, Kathleen (Paul) McGowan of La Porte, Jim (Laura) Riedstra of St. John, Ron (Alice) Riedstra of La Porte, and Bob (Tracey) Riedstra of La Porte; 6 grandchildren, Ryan Northrop, Valerie Kaminski, Matthew (Jessie) Riedstra, James (Kara) Riedstra II, Jennifer Riedstra and Kelly Bolton; 13 great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her parents; husband; and brother, Bob Lenters.

Ann was a dietary technician for 20 years at Hamilton Grove.  She was very involved in her church.  Ann enjoyed playing solitaire and making dolls.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Rolling Prairie United Methodist Church with Pastor JoEllyn Chadwick officiating.  Burial will follow at Rolling Prairie Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
