Barbara Button

Barbara Jane Button, 62, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.

Barbara was born on August 15, 1961 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Richard and Bonnie (Smith) Button.

Surviving are her brother, Richard Button; nieces, Shelby Cotten of Los Angeles, California and Stacey Bacon of Plano, Texas; great-nephew, Clark Bacon of Plano Texas; and great-niece, Jill Bacon of Plano, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; uncle, Paul Smith; and aunt, Helen Brown.

Barbara was in medical billing for and Meduit Insurance Company. She was a member of YANA Service Club. Recovery was a very important part of Barbara's life. Barbara began her recovery journey in 1987 in Fort Wayne, Indiana. She guided many women thru their journey in recovery. Barbara dearly loved animals, enjoyed crocheting and reading. She especially loved to brag on her nieces and great-niece and great-nephew.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will take place from 1 - 4 p.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the YANA Service Club, 1621 Roberts St., La Porte.
