Barbara Ann Stout

Barbara Ann Stout, 64, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, at her home, surrounded by family.

She was born on August 1, 1962, in Hamlet, IN, to Paul and Virginia (Howard) Stout.

Surviving Barbara are her 2 children, Adam Stevens and Grant Dorsey, both of La Porte; 4 grandchildren, Savannah, Makayla, Jazmijn, and Lylian; 4 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Susie Neil, Loretta Ake, and Becky Stout; 2 brothers, Brad and Dickie Stout; beloved German shepherd, Sassie; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 brothers, Eddie and Randy Stout; nephew, Jimmy Stout; niece, Erica Stout; as well as several shelty miniature collies, Copper, Mariah, and Cheerio.

Barbara worked in a factory, but was better known as a bartender. She was recognized several times as the best bartender in the area and was often referred to as "one hell of a bartender".

She loved music, particularly Michael Jackson, George Michael, and Kenny Chesney. Barbara enjoyed singing karaoke. Most importantly, Barbara dearly loved her dogs, family dinners, and conversations with those she held dear.

Barbara will be remembered as an amazing mom, wonderful sister, and a great friend.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at 2 pm Saturday, September 12, 2026, at the Kingsford Heights American Legion, 500 Grayton Rd., Kingsford Heights, IN 46346. Please bring a dish if you would like to participate in the Potluck Dinner.
