Billie JoAnn Kabowski

Billie JoAnn Kabowski, 73, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at Northwest Health La Porte.

She was born on May 17, 1953, in La Porte, IN, to William and Hazel (Armstrong) Kabowski.

Billie is survived by her 4 children, William (Tanya) Kabowski of La Porte, Charles Kabowski of La Porte, Brenda Kabowski Foust of La Porte, and Matthew Murphy of Westville; many treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Georgie Lloyd of Kansas City, KS, Lynda Thomas of La Porte, and Fran Kabowski of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son, James Caudill; parents, William (Hazel) Kabowski; and sisters, Connie Phillips, Sally Patrick, Barb Mrozek, Cathy West, and Mary Logan.

Billie was a seamer at T.C.O.B. for over 30 years. She enjoyed crocheting, taking motorcycle trips, and completing coloring phone apps. Most importantly, Billie loved being with her family and creating wonderful memories with them. She was a treasured "Bonus" mom, grandma, and great-grandma to many.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
