Bobby Stevens, 71, of LaPorte, Indiana, died at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, 2006 at Countryside Place Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 30, at Cutler Funeral Home. A time of visitation with the family will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Cremation has taken place. Burial will be in Patton Cemetery.
Bobby was born April 10, 1935, in Harrisburg, Arkansas to the late Elmer & Lillie (Osburn) Stevens.
Survivors include children Terry, Jason and Tina of LaPorte; sisters Imogene Friend of Stillwell, M. Louise Metheny of New Carlisle, IN, Shirley Grant of Ft. Meyers, FL and Brenda Sherer of LaPorte; and brothers Elmer Stevens, Jr. and Jerry Stevens, both of LaPorte.
A son and brothers Donald Ray, Michael David, E. Jess and Loren Stevens preceded him in death.
Bobby was a retired roofer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going on his daily walks by the lake.
