Brannon “B” O'Dell, 18, of Ligonier, Indiana, passed away tragically far too soon. Brannon was a trusting, kind-hearted young man who treated everyone with compassion and respect. He had a pure heart, a gentle spirit, and was loved by all who knew him.
Brannon enjoyed spending time outdoors and especially loved fishing, swimming, hiking, and exploring nature. He also enjoyed gaming and listening to Creepypastas each night. Whether spending time outside or with family and friends, Brannon found joy in life’s simple pleasures.
Brannon was born on February 18, 2006, at Elkhart General Hospital to Billy O'Dell and Karolyn Cummings. He attended West Noble Schools and was a graduate of Impact Institute. Though his life was brief, the memories he created and the love he shared will remain in the hearts of those who knew him forever.
Brannon is survived by his parents, Karolyn (Samuel) Cummings, formerly of Ligonier, and Billy (Autum) O'Dell of Syracuse; siblings, Robert (Alina) Lord-Freed of Jacksonville, Florida, Kierston "Kiki" Lord-Miller, formerly of Ligonier, Anthony "AJ" Miller of Noble County, Indiana, and Gavin (Emily) O'Dell, Caleb O'Dell, and Billy O'Dell, all of Elkhart; grandfather, Robert (Cindy) Lord of Fort Mill, South Carolina; along with many special aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends who loved Brannon dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Susan Lord, in 2016.
Since Brannon’s passing, his family has endured an unimaginable journey while seeking answers and pursuing justice for Brannon.
The family will host a celebration of Brannon's Life and his love of nature on Sunday, July 5, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Chiddister Pavilion at Fidler Pond Park, 1424 Lincolnway East, Goshen, Indiana 46526.
