Carol Ann Kwolek Olander

Carol Ann Kwolek Olander, 82, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at Northwest Health La Porte.

Carol was born on September 21, 1942, in Gary, IN, to Joseph and Emilia (Lysek) Kwolek.

Surviving Carol are her 2 daughters, Karen (Greg) Parrish of La Porte and Kathy Gledich of Largo, FL; 2 grandsons, Ethan (Tori) Parrish of Rolling Prairie and Eric (Erin) Parrish of Door Village; 8 great-grandchildren, Carson, Nora, Emmitt, Charlie, Amelia, Gabe, Lucy, and Josephine; father of her children, Steven Gledich; 2 brothers, Danny (Betty Ellis) Kwolek of Valparaiso and Joseph Kwolek of CA; many nieces and nephews; as well as previous husband, Vern Rauen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William "Bill" Olander; brother, Jerry Kwolek; and sister, Gloria Graham.

Carol was a retired secretary from Midland, but found her greatest joy in being a "professional grandma" for her dearly loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Carol loved watching and being with all of them. She treasured any, and all, time she was able to spend with them.

She enjoyed watching Hallmark movies, dancing, cooking, baking, and taking photos. Carol also enjoyed collecting dolls and bears. She found solace in visiting area lakes.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
