Catherine "Cathy" E. West

Catherine "Cathy"  E. West, 75, passed away on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Michigan City.

Cathy was born on January 18, 1947 in La Porte, IN, to William and Hazel (Armstrong) Kabowski.

Surviving are her 4 daughters, Cynthia Weathers of La Porte, Michelle (Dean) Sansom of La Porte, Patricia West-Pace of La Porte, and Kimberly (Lynn) Tindle of La Porte; grandchildren, Christopher (Erin Rushboldt) West, Adam (Chrissy Russle) White, Daniel (Ligia Ritchie) White, Dylan Pace, Samantha (Nick Weathers) White, Abigail Tindle, Matthew Sanson, Ricky Sansom, Candace Heitz, and Dallas Tindle; great-grandchildren, Hunter White, Ivan West, Gavin Denny, Cayden Weathers, Madison Sansom and Joshua Weathers; siblings, Connie Phillips of La Porte, Georgia Lloyd of Topeka, Kansas, Lynda Thomas of La Porte, Barbara Mrozek of New Buffalo, Michigan, Frances Kabowski of La Porte, and Billie Kabowski of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sons, Sammie and Donald West; grandchildren, Corey and Carrie-Jo Weathers; and siblings, Sally Patrick and Mary Logan.

Cathy enjoyed completing crossword puzzles and collecting Indians.  She loved the Smokey Mountains.  Cathy enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and loved her time with her sisters, especially their annual Sisters' Christmas Party.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.
