Charles V. Burns, 88, passed away on December 9, 2023, at Hamilton Communities.
Charles was born on August 26, 1935 in Michigan City, IN, to Irving R. and Theresa (Westphal) Burns, who preceded him in death.
He had 3 children, Christine Smith, Patricia (Rick) Brown, and Charles I. (Sherry) Burns, all who survive. Charles was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also had 1 brother, Irving R. Burns, who preceded him in death, and 2 sisters, Georgia Krueger, who preceded him in death, and Jeraldine Heyne, who survives.
From the age of 16 until 76, Charles worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing.
A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at Salem Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be directed to the donor's choice, in honor of Charles.
