Cheryl L. Creed

Cheryl L. Creed, 66, of Valparaiso, IN, formerly of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, June 4, 2025, at Northwest Health-Porter.

Cheryl was born on November 13, 1958, in La Porte, IN, to Fred J. "Freddy" and Lois L. (Scott) Ott, formerly of La Porte, IN.

Surviving Cheryl are her 2 sons, Joshua E. "Josh" (Jodie R.) Creed of La Porte, IN and his children, Aryanna R. and Daxin E. Creed, and Jeremy (Mia) Creed of Rachel, WV and his children, Lily A. and Warren J. Creed; friend since first grade and Guardian, Teresa L. (Kenneth) Paxson of La Porte; brothers, Kenneth G. (Debbie L.) Ott of Ft. Worth, TX and Terry L. Ott of Michigan City, IN; cousins, Norma (John) Mulzon of La Porte, Sharon (Alex) Gurbutow of La Porte, and many other cousins and second cousins of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews of La Porte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; niece, Vicki L. Ott, formerly of Ft. Worth, TX; grandparents, Dewey (Gladys) Scott, formerly of Union Mills, Eunice C. (Fisher) Vaughn, Fred L. (Mildred) Ott Sr., formerly of Union Mills, and Florence (Moses) Metts Ryan, formerly of Union Mills; aunts, Loretta Vaughn, formerly of La Porte and Anna Lou Harlow, formerly of La Porte; in-laws, Warren (Lavonne) Creed, formerly of La Porte; and cherished dogs, Tammy and Faucho.
 
Cheryl was a deli manager at Al's East in La Porte for a few years. She enjoyed dancing and playing games, with bingo being her favorite activity.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Dennis Meyer officiating.

A time of visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
