Daniel "Dan or Paco" B. Layman, 63, of North Liberty, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2026 in North Liberty, IN. Dan went quickly to be with his Heavenly Father after a minibike accident.

Dan was born on September 8, 1962, in La Porte, IN, to Harold and Barbara (Wilhelm) Layman.

Surviving are his son, Paul (Brittany) Layman of Fishers; grandchildren, Kyndra and Parker Layman of Fishers and Lennox Layman of La Porte; father, Harold (Carole) Layman of La Porte; brothers, Roy (Diana) Layman and Joseph (Jennifer) Layman, both ot La Porte; sister, Doris (Larry) Rogers of Tennessee; as well as many nieces and nephews. Dan was so blessed to be co-parented by his special aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Sid Layman.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara; son, Seth Layman; and sister, Ruth Milanovoch.

Dan worked as an Operating Engineer for 25 years. He enjoyed riding his minibikes, driving his Trans Am, and cars in general. Dan was so thoughtful and blessed by making wood items for others. He loved deep from his heart. Dan really loved as Jesus does by giving, doing, loving and expecting nothing in return. He always visited others and brought something yummy to eat and talk about Jesus. Dan especially loved his grandchildren.

Dan was an organ donor, so his body will be blessing someone in this world.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Gathering at Daniel's home, 30420 Quinn Road in North Liberty on Saturday, September 5, 2026, starting at 2 p.m. CT.
