Daniel C. England

Daniel C. England, 73, of La Porte, passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Northwest Health - La Porte.

Daniel was born on August 3, 1947 in Michigan City, IN, to Cleo J. and Rose Marie (Echimovich) England.

On January 1, 1994 in La Porte, IN, he married Sharon R. (Welches) Bowen who survives.  Also surviving are children, Donald (Jennifer) Bowen, Kelly (Greg) Shepherd, Shari (Leon) Mullins, Donna (Grant) Riedel, and Tony Bowen; 11 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Margo L. Davis; and his beloved grandson, Daniel Hodum.

Daniel was an US Army veteran and retired in 2002 as a Machinist for Bethlehem Steel after 30 years of service.  He was a guitarist and played in many Country and Rock bands in the South Bend area through the years.  He also loved tinkering with his antique cars and motorcycles.

He was a member of  the La Porte First Church of the Nazarene and the American Legion Post #83.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A private family service will take place at a later date.
