Dennis Omer Eggleston

Dennis Omer Eggleston, 71, of La Porte, passed away on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Northwest Health - La Porte.

Dennis was born on July 9, 1950 in La Porte, Indiana, to Eugene Joseph and Peggy Ann (Keller) Eggleston.

On June 7, 1969 in La Porte, IN, he married Linda L Griswell who preceded him in death on September 19, 2015.  Surviving Dennis are his beloved children, Sandra (David) Arndt of La Porte and Kenneth (Andrea) Eggleston of Plymouth; grandchildren, Toriana (Ethan) Parrish of Rolling Prairie, Joshua Arndt of Connecticut, Morgan (Shane) Eggleston of Walkerton, and Ryan Eggleston of Walkerton; great-grandchildren, Carson, Nora, and Jaxon; siblings, Susan Eggleston of New Carlisle, Patricia Larson of La Porte, and Michael (Vicki) Eggleston of Schereville; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 46 years, Linda; parents, Eugene and Peggy Eggleston; sister-in-law, Judy Eggleston; and his grandparents.

Dennis was a Caster at Howmet for 38 years.  He enjoyed tinkering with and restoring his many tractors and watching Old Westerns.  Dennis most enjoyed being with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  Papa was so very loved by them.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 6 p.m. on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating.  Burial to occur at a later date at Salem Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
