Dennis Jay Francis, 82, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at this home, surrounded by his family.
Dennis was born on September 29, 1941, in La Porte, IN, to George and Dorothy Chadderton Francis.
On March 16, 1962 in Jacksonville, NC, he married Sue Cornelius who survives. Also surviving are his children, Dennis (Terri) James Francis, April Armstrong, and Kevin Francis, all of Kinsgford Hts; 9 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Marlene Newbeck; and brothers, Robert and DeWayne Francis.
Dennis proudly served our country in the United States Marine Corps.
He was a production worker at New York Blower for 33 years. Dennis was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. He enjoyed taking motorcycle trips and loved bowling.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. At a later date, a private, family burial will take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
