Derek Paul Scheidel, age 19, of 3188 E 300 S, La Porte, passed away on April 16, 2003. Derek was born on March 23, 1984 in Wuerzburg, West Germany to Don and Kelly Scheidel.
Derek graduated from La Porte High School in 2002. He began his career as an electrical apprentice with a local electrical contractor.
Derek is survived by his parents, his sister Shawna, his Black Lab named Luke, his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday at Cutler Funeral Home at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Kent Dale will officiate the memorial service at 11:30 A.M. Cremation will take place.
A memorial fund has been established in Derek's name to provide grief counseling for his close friends.
