Donald Eugene Anglemyer, Jr.

Donald Eugene Anglemyer, Jr., 62, of Jones, MI, went on his final hunt on Dec. 13, 2025.

His story started on June 12, 1963. He was born to Donald Eugene and Margie Ree (Fields) Anglemyer, Sr. in Elkhart, IN.

Donny was raised in rural Michigan, the eldest of five children-a role he embraced early, often as the ringleader of whatever trouble they were all getting into. He had a sharp wit and a great sense of humor that stayed with him throughout his life. He loved a good laugh, often finding the lighter side of any situation.

A talented taxidermist and true outdoorsman, Donny felt most at home in the woods or out on the water. Hunting and fishing weren't just hobbies-they were passions, and his love for bass fishing even led him to compete.

Above all, he was a devoted father to five children. He took pride in passing down his vast knowledge of the outdoors, along with his skills and sense of humor. His lessons, laughter, and love will live on through his children and all who were lucky enough to call him a friend.

Donny is survived by his wife, Cherie Anglemyer; children, Cory (Candis) Christensen, Erica Anglemyer, Donald Anglemyer III, Daniel (Ashley) Anglemyer, and Clarissa Anglemyer; seven grandchildren; his father, Donald (Ruth) Anglemyer, Sr.; siblings, Mikel (Cathy) Anglemyer, Mark (Jackie) Anglemyer, and Kelly Anglemyer; and a brother-in-law, Terry McKinley.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Anglemyer, and a sister, Pamela Anglemyer.

A celebration of Donny's life will be held at 2 PM on June 13, 2026 at Cass County Conservation Club, 13710 US-12, Union, MI 49130
