Douglas "Doug" L. Hines, 64, of La Porte passed away at La Porte Hospital on January 24, 2021.
He was born September 6, 1956 in La Porte, IN to Robert and Nancy (Dowden) Hines, who preceded him in death.
Doug was a fan of Chicago sports. He enjoyed gardening, building, and collecting antiques. Doug spent many years playing basketball and softball in the city leagues. Spud had a good jump-shot!
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his brothers, Steve and Rich; one nephew; and four nieces.
Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place.
