Elizabeth M. Prokop , 86 years old of La Porte, IN, died at 2 PM, Friday, January 28, 2011 at Brentwood Assistant Living, LaPorte.
She was born March 21, 1924 in Elkhart, Indiana, Daughter of George and Helen Fritz Gillway.
On January 7, 1967 in LaPorte, she married John A. Prokop, who preceded her in Death on November 1, 2002.
She attended two years at St. Ann's Nursing School in Chicago, and was a member of First Baptist Church in LaPorte. She retired in 1984 as a Sales Analyst for Howmet Corp after 24 and half years of service.
Surviving are step daughter, Mary Anne Miller of LaPorte; granddaughter, Kara (Jason) Flores of LaPorte; 2 great grandsons, Kade and Drew Flores; sister, Janice Russell of Fremont, CA and 1 niece.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and 1 niece.
A Private Graveside Service will be held Monday, January 31, 2011 at the Pine Lake Cemetery with Rev. Dennis Meyer officiating.
