Gary Franklin Archambeault, 62, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home.

Gary was born on May 1, 1958 in Michigan City, IN, to Franklin and Dorothy (Wood) Archambeault.

Surviving are his four children, Mark Archambeault of Westville, Melissa Westlund of La Porte, Jennifer Archambeault of Westville, and Amber (James) Johnston of Medaryville; 5 grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Archambeault of New Carlisle; brother, Lee (Nancy) Archambeault of La Porte; sister, Susan (Jonathon) Strakowski of Rolling Prairie; mother of his children, Penny Archambeault of Westville; former wife, Georgina Archambeault of Medaryville; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin and brother, Thomas Archambeault.

Gary was a machine operator at Independent Steel.  He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and camping, where he best displayed his skill at fire starting and his dislike of cutting wood.  Gary loved his dogs, especially Butch.  He had a great sense of humor and had a way of making everything funny.  Most of all, Gary loved his grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  A private family service will take place at a later date.
