Gene "Red" Marhanka, 78 years old of La Porte, IN, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 in LaPorte Hospital .
He was born November 8, 1932 in La Porte, Son of the late Paul H. and Lillian R. (Freese) Marhanka.
Gene worked as a custodian at several different taverns in LaPorte.
Surviving are two aunts; Ann Moor of Ohio and Helen Marhanka of Dowagiac,Michigan several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation had taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later time with burial in Pine Lake Cemetery
