Gerald "Jerry" E. Stoewer

Gerald "Jerry" E. Stoewer, 70, of Fish Lake, IN, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at Northwest Health-La Porte.

He was born on April 29, 1955, in La Porte, IN, to Norma (Austin) Stark and Wilbur Stoewer.

On February 12, 1978, he married Kathleen Berrier who survives. Also surviving are his 3 children, Cecilia (Marcos) Gonzalez, Shawn Stoewer, and Jerry Stoewer; 2 grandchildren, Anthony Stower and Antonio Gonzalez; 2 brothers, Roger and Matthew Stoewer; 2 nieces, Alisha and Michelle Stoewer; nephew, Cameron Stoewer; several nieces and nephews; as well as dear friend and neighbor, Frank Caudill, who Jerry enjoyed visiting.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Raymond Stoewer.

Jerry was an old car enthusiast. He enjoyed playing pool and shooting darts. Most importantly, Jerry liked spending time with his family. He will be missed by all that knew him.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
