James was married on September 30, 1950 to Evelyn M. McBurney who preceded him in death in 2003.
He retired in 1985 after working 17 1/2 years for International Association of Mechanist as a Union Rep, Contract Negotiator. He also served in WWII from 1945-1947.
James was preceded in death by his Parents: Russell and Hazel (Vertch) Taylor, Wife: Evelyn M. Taylor, 1 Son: Dale Taylor, 2 Grandchildren, and 1 Brother: Wayne Tayler.
He belonged to the St. Johns Lutheran Church of LaPorte and the Local #1127
