Jeanette Audrey Dean, 89 years old of La Porte, IN, died Tuesday, November 30, 2010 in LaPorte Hospital .
She was born September 24, 1921 in Union Mills, Indiana, Daughter of the late Harry H. and Altha (Dye) Craft.
She was married on November 25, 1939 in Chicago to William Dean who preceded her in death.
Jeanette attended First Baptist Church of LaPorte. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, reading and gardening. Jeanette wanted to give special gratitude to her wonderful neighbors and friends at the Swanson Center in LaPorte and Pioneer Land who commonly called her 'Queenie".
She worked as a Beautician at Polly Ann's Beauty Salon for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Billie (George) Callas of LaPorte; son-in-law, Chuck F. Hildebrand of Leesburg, FL; grandchildren, Jamie (Dr. Randy) Duckert of Omaha, NB., Chuck W. (Bonnie) Hildebrand of Hillsboro, OR., Chris (Angie) Hildebrand of Cameron, NC., Jim (Nicole) Checolo of Knoxville, TN., and Jeff Checolo of LaPorte; great grandchildren, Kyle, Kelly, Daniela, and Michael Duckert, Amanda, Alyssa, Jessica and Jacob Hildebrand, Alexa and Kirsten Checolo.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Dean; daughter, Patricia Hildebrand; infant daughter, Diane; infant son, Richard; brother, Robert Craft; sister, Mary Ellen Milner; granddaughter, Jennifer Hildebrand; infant grandson, Jeffrey Hildebrand.
There will be a Private Graveside Service on Friday, December 3, 2010 at Kingsbury Cemetery.
