Jeff Gabriel VanMeter

Jeff Gabriel VanMeter, 44, passed away on Saturday, October 24, 2020.

Jeff was born on December 15, 1975 in Wood River, IL, to Gregory and Susan (Paulovich) VanMeter.

On February 8, 2002 in Wanatah, IN, he married Jennifer Conboy who survives.  Also surviving are his sons, Vincent and Jasper VanMeter, both of La Porte; parents, Gregory and Susan VanMeter of Burlington, Iowa; brother, John (Heather) VanMeter of Salt Lake City, Utah; nephew, Trevor VanMeter of Burlington, Iowa; as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Steve (Patricia) Paulovich and Donald (Vera) VanMeter; uncle, Michael Paulovich; and aunt, Pamela Polite.

Jeff worked as an Union Painter for Stan's Painting.  He was a member of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades Local #460.  Jeff enjoyed outdoor activities, camping, fires, volunteering with Boy Scouts, fireworks and skydiving.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held Sunday, November 1, 2020 from 12 - 4 p.m. at Red Mill County Park, 185 S. Holmesville Rd., La Porte.
