John Phillip Seymour

John Phillip Seymour, 46, of Kingsbury, IN, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024.

John was born on April 3, 1978, in La Porte, IN, to Phillip and Patricia (Kapuscinski) Seymour.

Surviving John are his 2 children, Evan Garay of Westville and Cheyenne Hyatte of Bardstown, KY; mother, Patricia Seymour of La Porte; brother, Adam (Sarah) Seymour of La Porte; 4 nieces, Avery, Heidi, Emma, and Hannah of La Porte; nephew, Levi Seymour; and uncles, Joseph Kapuscinski of La Porte, Mike (Tami) Seymour of Niles, MI, Doug (Cathy) Seymour of La Porte, and Wayne (Beccy) Seymour of La Porte.

He was preceded in death by his father; grandparents, Margaret Kapuscinski and James (Lois) Seymour; and uncle, Steven Kapuscinski.

John previously worked as an assembler at Riggs. He enjoyed rebuilding and restoring bicycles, drawing, playing guitar, and collecting Hot Wheels. John enjoyed playing rock and roll music, with more speakers being preferred! He was always willing to lend a hand to anyone who needed assistance.

John led a troubled life. His demons are finally laid to rest.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, September 27, 2024 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

John loved animals, having many dogs in his lifetime. Due to his love for animals, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, any memorial contributions be directed to the Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center, 2855 West State Road 2, La Porte, IN 46350 or donor's choice.
