Joseph was the son of the late Almus and Ethel Howard.
He was married on September 14, 1979 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Mary E. Parr who preceded him in death on August 30, 2007.
Joseph retired as a Tool & Dye Maker at Recticel/Foamex in LaPorte, IN. He attended Lambs Chapel and was a member of the Landmark Missionary Baptist Church.
