Katharine Emma Werner

Katharine Emma Werner, 67, of Kingsford Heights, IN, passed away on Tuesday, February 4, 2025, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Katharine was born on January 22, 1958, in Gary, IN, to John and Olive (Hendrick) McMeans.

On July 28, 2001, in Union Mills, IN, she married Ivan who preceded her in death. Surviving Katharine are her 2 children, Katharine Mink of Monterey and Terry Johnson Jr., of La Porte; 3 grandchildren, Kristen Mink of Hamlet, Kimberly Mink of Hanna, and Douglas Mink of Monterey; 6 great-grandchildren; many siblings; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother and husband.

Katharine worked many years as a cook. She enjoyed completing crossword puzzles, cooking, cleaning dishes, and watching movies. Katharine cherished her time with her family and her dog.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
