Larry Leon Odell

Larry Leon Odell, 89, of Michigan City, IN, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Franciscan Health-Michigan City.

Larry was born on December 26, 1936, in La Porte, IN, to Floyd and Ivy (Miller) Odell.

On March 4, 2016, he married Nancy Berndt who survives. Also surviving are his 4 children, Roy Odell of La Porte, Cindy (Teresa) Odell of AZ, Gary (Terri) Odell of CA, and Kenny Odell of AZ; stepson, Gary Lee (Erica) Shoemocker of WI; 20 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Phyllis (Jim) Marks of South Bend and Linda (Harold) Young of British Columbia, Canada; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Diane Odell; second wife, LauraLee Odell; and 2 sisters, Pauline Odell and Angie Johnson.

Larry was a car body collision repairman. He was a member of the Michigan City Christian Church. He enjoyed gardening and working on cars.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

At a later date, a Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at Michigan City Christian Church, with Pastor Dan officiating.
