Laurie Jean Breslan

Laurie Jean Breslan, 64, of Hamlet, IN, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at Northwest Health-La Porte.

Laurie was born on October 8, 1961, in IL, to Richard and Dorothy (Knapp) Becker.

On June 4, 1983, in Westchester, IL, she married the love of her life, soulmate, and best friend, Michael Breslan who survives. Also surviving are her 3 children, Michael "Mikey" Breslan of La Porte, Melissa (Vinny Caturano) Breslan of Whiting, and Michelle (Liam) Breslan-Dohner of La Porte; dearly loved grandchildren, Noah and Vincent Caturano and Zoe Dohner; brothers, Robert Becker of IL and Steven Becker of IL; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents and sister and best friend, Joanne Folkers.

Laurie was a loving, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother/"Baduu". She enjoyed laughter, QVC, family basketball, the Chicago Bulls, a good comedy, and Tuesday date night at Heston Supper Club. Most importantly, Laurie dearly loved her family and treasured her time with them. She was the light that made their house a home.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.

A time of visitation will be held from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
