Lawrence F. Simpkins

Lawrence F. Simpkins, 69, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Northwest Health La Porte.

Lawrence was born on December 22, 1956, to George and Mary (McCarthy) Simpkins.

Surviving are his son, Kyle Simpkins of La Porte; sisters, Jackie Scott, Beth Simpkins, and Gloria Wheeless; beloved dogs, Moose and Missy; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, George "Bobby" Simpkins; and sister, Karen Weaver.

Lawrence worked as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed collecting Hot Wheels, attending concerts at the La Porte Civic Auditorium with his friends, and shooting at the range.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
