On March 7, 1964 in New Buffalo, MI, she married L. A. "Boomer" Scott who preceded her in death on January 13, 2001.  Surviving Skeeter are her children, Dale Scott of Halls, TN, Debbie Staples of Three Oaks, MI, and Deann (Joe) Toth of Foley, AL; 6 grandchildren, Coty (Cristin) Scott of Halls, TN, Dalton Scott of La Porte, Kirstin (Chris) Mrak of Chesterton, Kesley Toth of Mishawaka, Jordan (Brandon) Riffle of Mishawaka, and Amber Voltz of Michigan City; 4 great-grandchildren, Autumn and Braden Scott of Halls, TN, and Mason Ray and Presley Rose Mrak of Chesterton; brother, Robert Sulkowski of Michigan City; brother-in-law, Don Cunningham of Fish Lake: as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, David Voltz; and 2 sisters, Betty Shires and Doris Cunningham.

Skeeter was a volunteer at the core of her heart.  She blessed the community through her many years volunteering and managing Lamb Chapel's Food Pantry.  Skeeter also volunteered for over 20 years at the local election polls.  Most notably was Skeeter's volunteer involvement with the La Porte Co. 4-H program.  From dedicating over 50 years as a 4-H leader, mainly for Galena and Kankakee townships, to her work at Pioneerland, Skeeter was an ever-present face among the 4-H community.  She held many positions within 4-H including Project Judging Superintendent and Jr. Leader Leader.  Her love for horses led Skeeter to volunteer within the La Porte Co. 4-H Horse and Pony Club, where she assisted with the Color Guard, Drill Team, and judging.  Skeeter proudly was inducted into the La Porte Co. 4-H Hall of Fame.

In addition to volunteering, Skeeter loved visiting the casino and Elvis.  She was a member of Journey Church.
