Leslie Dawn Carpenter

Leslie Dawn Carpenter, 51, of Michigan City, IN, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2026, at her home.

She was born on October 6, 1974, in La Porte, IN, to the late Virgil Carpenter and Gloria (Borders) Carpenter-Krenzke.

Leslie is survived by her son, Jordan Loeffler of La Porte; mother, Gloria (Scott) Krenzke of La Porte; sisters, Marci (Darby) Toler of Cypress, TX and Pamela Bumgardner of La Porte; and nieces and nephews, Zoe, Brooklinn, Kaely Benjamin and Andrew Bumgardner, all of La Porte and Kirin and Gavin Toler, both of Cypress, TX.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and uncles.

Leslie loved animals deeply. In her youth, she participated in 4-H Horse and Pony.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at First Baptist Church, 908 Jefferson Ave., La Porte. Burial at Pine Lake Cemetery will take place at a later date.
