Lillie Lindsey, 78, of Stillwell, died at 11:00 a.m., Monday May 24, 2004 at her home.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday May 28, 2004 at the Cutler Funeral Home with Pastor Monroe Jones officiating. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Burial will be in the Salem Chapel Cemetery.
She was born October 5, 1925 in Giles Co., TN to Cullen & Elizabeth (Henderson) Colston. On August 12, 1943, in Athens, GA, she married Edward Lindsey who survives.
Also surviving are daughters Dessie (Robert William) Bealor, Stillwell and Peggy Majors, LaPorte: sons, Delmon (Patricia) Lindsey, Hamlet, James Lindsey. LaPorte and Gary Lindsey, Westville; 16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters, Selma Pittman, Ardmore, AL and Margie Montgomery, Fairdale, KY; and brother, Herbert Colston, LaPorte.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Cullen W. Lindsey, a sister, Inez Brymar and 4 brothers, Henry Lloyd, Raymond, Cullen Jr., & Sammi.
Mrs, Lindsey had retired from Kingsley Furniture after 13 years. She was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church, LaPorte.
Memorials may be made to New Hope Baptist Church or VNA Hospice.
