Linda Lou Palmer

Linda Lou Palmer, 60, of Rolling Prairie, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on Thursday, September 24, 2026.

Linda was born on February 13, 1966, in La Porte, IN, to Winford and Barbara (Dyer) Allen.

On March 26, 1993, in Las Vegas, NV, she married Steven Robert Palmer who survives. Also surviving are her daughters, Emily Clawson and Joslyn (Nick) Owens, both of La Porte; grandchildren, Ellie and Oliver Owens, both of La Porte; sisters, Cheryl (Gary) Gray, Barb Payne, and Sandi (Bo) Stringham; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy Allen; and brother-in-law, Bruce Payne.

Linda was very active in the New Prairie school community by being PTO President, helping in classrooms, and later becoming a bus driver for 14 years.

Linda coached both women's league and little league softball. She enjoyed quoting lines from the movies and watching TV shows. Linda was the go to person for every crafty need that had to get done from sewing anything imaginable to whipping up any floral arrangements, and crocheting the biggest blankets possible.

Linda loved attending gymnastics with her grandchildren and spending every weekend with family.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

In keeping with the family's wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held with close family and loved ones.
