Linda Susan Swanson

Linda Susan Swanson, 76, of La Porte, IN, peacefully passed away on January 15, 2026, in her home, surrounded by her family.

Linda was born on May 25, 1949, in Toledo, OH, to James and Laura Hall.

On May 23, 1998, in Battle Creek, MI, she married James Swanson, who survives. Also surviving are her daughter, Deborah Osborne of Redondo Beach, CA; stepson, Adam Swanson of LaSalle, MI; 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Alexis Osborne; and brother-in-law, Bob (Jenifer) Swanson of La Porte.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kathleen Ritter; and sister, Cynthia Hall.

Linda worked in administration for Whirlpool Corp. She enjoyed volunteering at St. Vincent de Paul and the Holy Family Parish prayer shawl ministry. Linda had a gift for needlecrafting, creating beautifully knitted and cross-stitched creations.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Holy Family Parish--Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be from 5 - 7 p.m. on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, and from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, before progressing to the church.
