Lloyd Lester Vance

Lloyd Lester Vance, 83, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Brickyard Healthcare-Terrace Care Center with family by his side.

He was born on April 28, 1943, in Rensselaer, IN, to William Herbert and Linda Eliza (Allen) Vance.

On December 27, 1986, in La Porte, IN, he married Marilyn Marie Dysard who survives. Also surviving are his 4 children, Pamela (Eric) Hunsley of Union Mills, Debra (Roger) Bennitt of Rock Tavern, NY, Stephen (Gwen) Vance of Valparaiso, and Kimberly (Jacob) Crone of Beavercreek, OH; 6 grandchildren, John, Ashley, Cassandra, Danielle, Payton, and Olivia; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Gean LeMaster; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Karen Eucharia Murphy; as well as several brothers and sisters.

Lloyd proudly served in the United States Army from 1968 - 1970.

He was an electrician at Josam Co. and Modine. Lloyd retired in 2001 from Modine. His was a member of the Door Village Lions Club, La Porte VFW, and the Door Village United Methodist Church. Lloyd enjoyed gardening, fishing, traveling, and spending time with his family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Sam Polito officiating. Burial will follow at Door Village Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 4 - 7 p.m. on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center and from 11 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home.
