Loretta Ione Fanselow, 79, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Friday, July 19, 2024 at Lakewood Hospital, Long Beach, CA.
Loretta was born in Vancouver, WA, on October 31, 1944 to William and Charlotte (Klatt) Gray.
On May 25, 1963 in First Church of God, La Porte, she married James Robert Fanselow, Sr. Surviving Loretta are her 3 children, Bob (Tami) Fanselow of Long Beach, CA, Chris (Tina) Fanselow of South Milwaukee, WI, and Jamie (Mandy) Fanselow of Terrell, TX; 5 grandchildren, Justin, Graham, Cole, Madison, and Cameron Fanselow; great-granddaughter, Arwin Fanselow; 4 brothers, Charles, Darrell, Jerry and Jeff Gray; 3 sisters, Dee Burmeister, Marsha Henning and Phyllis Roach; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Before her retirement, Loretta worked in administration in both Human Resources at Goodwill Industries in South Bend and as an Administrative Rep. for G.T.E. She enjoyed traveling, hiking, sewing, gardening, and shopping. Most importantly, Loretta enjoyed and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place.
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Jeff Zigler officiating. Private burial will take place at Patton Cemetery.
A time of visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until the time of service on Saturday.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the La Porte County Council on Aging, Inc., 2354 N. US Hwy 35, La Porte, IN 46350.
