May 27, 1959 — July 11, 2024

Lori Ann VanDierendonck, 65, passed away on July 11, 2024, at Memorial Hospital of South Bend, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on May 27, 1959, in La Crosse, WI, Lori was the daughter of Artis and Doris (Lillethun) Yandt.

She is survived by her children, Alison (Nick) Johnson, Miranda (Kyle) Kitchell-Butts, and Melissa (Cameron) Smith; her grandchildren, Chloe, Emmitt, Nathan, and Emma; her brother, Rod Yandt; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Artis and Doris Yandt; her sister, Diane (Yandt) Bayer; her brother, Eric Yandt; and several close friends.

Lori dedicated 25 years as a bus driver for the La Porte Community School Corporation, a job she truly enjoyed. After retiring, she found joy in babysitting her grandchildren, who were her absolute pride and joy.

Lori had a passion for skiing and an immense love for the outdoors, especially the mountains and camping. She enjoyed photography, particularly capturing stunning sunsets. A quiet Cheesehead, she was an ardent fan of "That 70's Show," having grown up in that era and in Wisconsin.

Known for her heart of gold, Lori was always inclusive and generous without hesitation. Words cannot express how much she will be missed, but those who knew her are profoundly grateful for the time they shared with her.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will be held at a later date.
