Lynn Keel Waters, 80, of La Porte, IN, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 10, 1945, in La Porte, IN, to Howard Vernon and Sherry K. (Keel) Waters.
Surviving Lynn are her 3 children, Rebecca "Becki" (Martin) Conner of La Porte, Jeffrey (Marcie) Briggs of Hanna, and Julie (Bill) Sinclair, of La Porte; 10 treasured grandchildren, Jeff (Ashley) Briggs II, Josh (Kelly) Briggs, Christian (Melissa) Briggs, Faith (R. J.) Mackensworth, Walter Conner, William Conner, Ava Sinclair, Jackie Sinclair, Adeline Sinclair, and Maggie Conner; 10 beloved great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Briggs III, Jalen Briggs, Jeffrey Higdon, Jordyn Higdon, Jehu Briggs, Charlotte Briggs, Vivian Briggs, Theodore Briggs, Hadassah Mackensworth, and Joshephine Mackensworth; sister, Judy (Russ) Bernacchi; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Lynn was a retired La Porte County Government employee. She worked as a Data Processing Director, where she led the county into the digital age! Lynn also held the position of the first Solid Waste Director and started the recycling program within La Porte.
She was an artist with Wanderlust, one who was inspired by her travels, exploration, and new experiences. Lynn particularly created gifted metalwork, ceramics, photography, and lamp work.
Lynn loved visiting Lake Superior, the Upper Peninsula, and Sanibel, where she found treasured artifacts. She enjoyed collecting antiques and had a vast collection of items that elicited fond memories of past experiences with loved ones.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 12 p.m. on Monday, February 16, 2026, at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center with Pastor Rev. Dr. Kendall "Ken" Schaeffer officiating.
A time of visitation will be held from 10 a. m. until the time of the service on Monday at the funeral home. Cremation will take place following the service.
Lynn's family kindly requests that all attending her visitation and/or service wear brightly colored clothing to celebration Lynn's joyous life.
