Margie (Wright) Mullins

Margie Mullins, 83, of La Porte, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022, surrounded by her family.

Margie was born on January 21, 1939 in Dean, TN, to Doffis and Lilly (Lloyd) Wright.

On June 9, 1979 in La Porte, IN, she married Garland, who preceded her in death.  Surviving are her daughter, Julia (Donald) Tibbs of La Porte; 4 grandchildren, Daniel (Rebecca) Jeffers of La Porte, Austin (Trevor) Jeffers of Valparaiso, John (Stefanie) Tibbs of La Porte, and Christy Fletcher of La Porte; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth Lane; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; granddaughter, Amy Roberts; son, John P. Fisher; and grandson, Jason Jeffers.

Margie was a laborer for many years at Dwyer Instruments.  She loved Bluegrass music and was a member of the Bluegrass Messengers.

A Private Celebration of Life Service was held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.  Burial occurred at Patton Cemetery.
