Mary Jane (Robison) Szynal

Mary Jane Szynal, 94, passed away on Saturday, December 13, 2020 at Hamilton Communities, New Carlisle.

Mary was born on October 23, 1926 in La Porte, IN, to Fred and Margaret (Monteith) Robison.

In April 1951, she married Joseph, who preceded her in death in 1987. Surviving Mary are her children, Rebecca (Robert) Stanton and Joseph (Diane) Szynal, all of La Porte; 5 grandchildren, Kimberly (Jeff) Harrington of Cincinnati, OH, Andrew (Jillian) Stanton of Nashville, TN, Nicholas Stanton of La Porte, Adam (Denise) Szynal of Kouts, and Tyler (Sara) Szynal of La Porte; 6 great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Jack, Clive, Primrose, Tansy, and Asher; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Eva Wright and Shirley Robison; and granddaughter, Jennifer Stanton.

Mary was a business owner for many years.  She enjoyed bowling and playing cards, especially Euchre.  Mary also enjoyed working in her yard, gardening, and antiquing.  Most importantly, Mary enjoyed time spent with her family.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.  Burial to take place at Pine Lake Cemetery.
