Matthew Ryan West

Matthew Ryan West, 42, of Hanna, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022.

Matthew was born in La Porte, IN, on February 25, 1980 to Terry West and Lori (Berg) Smutzer.

Surviving are his daughters, Katrina and Sienna West and their mother, Heather Kabowski; sons, Braxton and Bradyen West and their mother, Heather West; mother, Lori Smutzer of Hanna; father, Terry (Kathy) West of La Porte; and sister, Chantiel West and family.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Charlotte Halter; paternal grandparents, Allen and Norma West; maternal grandparents, Wayne and Darlene Jones; grandfather, Frank Berg, Sr.; and his best friend, Kyle Wiles.

Matthew was very talented at playing pool and was a big sports fan, particularly of the Chicago Cubs and The Bears. He would have wanted everyone to remember the love he had for his children, mother, and family and remind them to never forget the times they spent together.  Matthew loved every single one of you....Remember that!

A Private Celebration of Life Service will be held at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
