Michael Wallen, 63, of Union Mills, Indiana, passed away at 8:18 p.m. on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at LaPorte Hospital.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 10, at Cutler Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in Pine Lake Cemetery where full military honors will be conducted.
Michael was born March 12, 1943, in Kentucky to Edward & June (Music) Wallen.
Survivors include his sister, Barbara (Jim) Woods of LaPorte; his brother William L. Wallen of LaPorte; and several nieces and nephews.
His parents and two sisters, Elaine Gumz and Judy Hundt, preceded him in death.
Michael had worked as a supervisor for the Power Plant at Westville Correctional Facility. He was also a US Navy veteran. He belonged to the American Legion and he had attended Purdue North Central.
