Nancy Lynn Laufmann

Nancy Lynn Laufmann, 85, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Miller's Merry Manor-Walkerton.

Nancy was born on October 22, 1940, in Memphis, TN, to Lloyd and Nancy (Welch) Rawdon.

On August 18, 1962, in Trenton, TN, she married Bernard "Bernie", who survives. Also surviving are her 2 daughters, Lori (David) Chambers of La Porte and Lisa (Scott) Smucker of Sterling, VA; 5 grandchildren, Nicole (Craig) Egan of La Porte, Brad (Briann) Chambers of Sartell, MN, Cassie (Andrew) Sacks of La Porte, Steven (Lexie) Smucker of Leesburg, VA, and Greg (Katie) Smucker of Plantation, FL; 12 great-grandchildren, Austin, Caitlynn, Makenzie, and Elijah Egan all of La Porte, Levi, Aubri, and Malakai Chambers, all of Sartell, MN, Haleigh and Brynn Smucker of Leesburg, VA, Sirenna and Willa Smucker of Plantation, FL and Savanna Sacks of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Linda Fogus; and brother, William Rawdon.

Nancy was a teacher for many years, working both in Galena Township and LPCSC. She was a member of La Porte Missionary Church. Nancy enjoyed traveling.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
