Penny Sue Griffin

Penny Sue Griffin, 60, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Brickyard Healthcare-Twelfth Street Care Center.

Penny was born on October 7, 1965, in La Porte, IN, to Charles and Barbara (Hopkins) Griffin.

Surviving are her 2 children, Sharla Tester of La Porte and Zanna "Ziggy" Griffin of Charleston, IL; 6 grandchildren, Mercedes Ramsey-Griffin, Jesse Tester, Kassey Ramsey-Griffin, Olivia Ramsey-Griffin, Harold Ramsey-Griffin, Skylar Ramsey-Griffin; father, Charles Griffin of Mishawaka; sisters, Theresa (Mark) Halley of La Porte, Virginia (Ron) Green of Mishawaka, Jacqueline (Paul) Davis of Knox; 2 brothers, Edward (LaShaunda) Ginther of Mishawaka and Charles Griffin Jr of Granger; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Griffin; daughter, Candy Griffin; and sisters, Sherry Connett, Mary Ginther, and Debra Bozek.

Penny was an avid collector. She enjoyed collecting items of Native American culture, wolves, and Cocal-Cola paraphernalia. Penny also enjoyed working on cars and fixing things. Most importantly, Penny cherished her time with family.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
