Peter Martin Ulrich

Peter "Pete" Martin Ulrich, 79, of La Porte, IN, passed away on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, at Ernestine M. Raclin House.

Pete was born on August 2, 1946, in La Porte, IN, to Arthur and Joan (Berry) Ulrich.

He is survived by his 2 children, Jeffrey (Mindy) Ulrich of Grosse Pointe, MI and Jillian (Dave) Rolling of Valparaiso; 5 grandchildren, Dylan Lopez of La Porte, Jenna (Chase Campbell) Lopez of Valparaiso, Kylie Baldazo of Valparaiso, Masen Ulrich of Grosse Pointe, MI, and Keaton Ulrich of Grosse Pointe, MI; and 2 great-grandchildren, Elliot Lopez of La Porte and Ava Campbell of Valparaiso. Also surviving are the mother of Jeffrey and Jillian, Janet Messick Ulrich of La Porte, and Pete's sister, Pamela (Greg) Mross of Sturtevant, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Pete spent many years teaching before his retirement and beginning a second career as an electrician. He was the owner of Electrical Services. Pete worked up until his passing.

He valued time with family, whether in his travels to England to visit his mother's family or attending his grandchildren's sporting events. Pete was a proud father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Pete was very tech savvy. He enjoyed building computers and playing video games.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
