Phil G. Collins, 47 years old of La Porte, IN, died 11:00 PM Saturday October 23, 2010 in his home
He was born Feb. 5, 1963 in Morristown, Tennessee Son of the late Rolan and Myrtle (Davis) Collins
He worked for Lewis Bakeries for 12 years and as an Executive Chef for Reed's Restaurant and the Timers Restaurant both of La Porte. He also had receive his Culinary License.
He loved fishing, coin collecting, playing poker and was a diehard Chicago Cub Fan
He married June 26, 1982 in La Porte to Kelly Mace who survives, also survivng are his children, Amber, Shain and Shelby Collins all of La Porte, a brother; Rolan (Tammie) Collins, Jr. of Westville, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Jeff and Tony and a nephew; Brandon
Friends will be received at the at the Cutler Funeral Home, LaPorte, IN. from 4-7:00 PM Wednesday with a Memorial Service at 7:00 PM. Private burial will take place at a later time.
