Phillip Lee Conboy

Phillip Lee Conboy, 53, of Hanna, IN, passed away on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at Northwest Health La Porte.

He was born on September 29, 1972, in Valparaiso, IN, to Patrick and Christina (Thoesen) Conboy.

Phillip is survived by his 2 children, Cody Raegan) Conboy of Greenbrier, AR and Taylor (Cody) Gross of Greenbrier, AR; 2 grandchildren, Peyton and Zane Gross; sister, Jennifer VanMeter of La Porte; 1 brother, Joseph (Dana) Conboy of Wanatah; as well as nieces and nephews, McKenna and Avery Conboy and Jasper and Vincent VanMeter.

He was preceded in death by his father, Patrick Conboy, and brother-in-law, Jeff VanMeter.

A graduate of South Central High School, Phillip worked as a carpenter and heavy equipment operator, but he had a love for farming. He enjoyed working with his hands and restoring life into old things. Phillip also enjoyed being in nature and raising horses. Most importantly, he enjoyed being with his family.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte. A private family service will take place at a later date.
