Randall "Randy" Martin Coleman

Randall "Randy" Martin Coleman, 69, of La Porte, IN, passed peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was born on April 5, 1956, in Hanover, NH to the late James E. Coleman Jr. and Rita D. (Mills) Coleman.

On August 9, 1980, in La Porte, IN, he married Linda Kay Combs who preceded him in death on January 28, 2025. Surviving are his daughter, Nicole (Joel) Florek of La Porte; grandchildren, Amelia, Maybelle, Jonathan, and Benjamin; brother, James "Sonny" (Patty) Coleman of Michigan City; sister, Kathy (Gary) Brown of La Porte ; stepsister, Michelle (John) Moore of La Porte; as well as many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; brothers, Charles and Paul Coleman; and stepbrother, Bryan Coleman.

Randy proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he was a Combat Ranger.

He worked as a welder for many years. Randy enjoyed working on the family farm, especially with his chickens and cows. Most importantly, Randy dearly loved his family and held his grandchildren dear. He had a special bond with granddaughter, Amelia "Grace", who helped heal him after the passing of his beloved brother, Paul.

Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Gathering will be held from 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at the home of Nicole and Joel, 9107 N. Wilhelm Rd., La Porte. To honor his military service, Full Military Honors will be presented at 11 a.m.
