Rosalie June (Rademacher) Brettin

Rosalie June Brettin, 92, of La Porte, passed away on Tuesday, February 28, 2023.

Rosalie was born on June 21, 1930 in Chicago, IL, to John and Rose (Kirschenstein) Rademacher.

On November 5, 1949, she married Edward Brettin, who preceded her in death on November 7, 2007.  Surviving Rosalie are her children, Carolyn Brettin of La Porte, Edward (Tama) Brettin of Madison, WI, Linda (Robert) Shepro of Carlsbad, CA, and Paul (Jennifer) Brettin; 7 grandchildren, Rob and Amanda Allen, Andrew Brettin, Nick and Meg Shepro, and Jacob and Noah Brettin; 1 great-grandchild, Carson Allen; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Peg Brettin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded by her husband; parents; 2 brothers, John and Robert Rademacher; and sister, Dorothy Peterson.

Rosalie was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, where she volunteered in numerous activities with both the church and school.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 13, 2023 at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Albers officiating.  Burial will follow at Pine Lake Cemetery.

A time of visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Monday at the church.

The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Jane Bernard Animal Adoption Center, 2855 West State Road 2, La Porte, IN 46350.
